WHAT IS TEETH WHITENING:
Teeth whitening is very effective procedure to lighten the teeth colour/shade. The procedure cannot make your teeth completely bright, only lightens the teeth colour.

- Tetracycline's
Children who are exposed to tetracycline, when teeth are forming [either in womb or as a baby] develops brown stains on their teeth.
DOES TEETH WHITENING WORK ON ALL TEETH:
Teeth whitening isn't suitable on all teeth.
Tartar and fluoride stain teeth, turning yellow which respond nicely to bleaching.
If the tooth stain is brown [for example, significant fluoride discoloration], it responds less.
Bleaching can not remove stains caused by drugs, fillings and it is unsuitable for damaged teeth.
The person with sensitivity, crowns and veneers if have teeth discoloration bleaching not recommended.

At Home
Some whitening kits are available in the market are easy to use. These products contain less peroxide used by the dentist.
And such kits work well for some persons with very light stains.
- Whitening Tray
Dentists take your impressions and make a flexible tray that fits on your teeth and holds the bleaching agent in close contact with your teeth for better results, these trays prevent diluting the agents from saliva and prevents leaking of agents from the tray which causes sensitivity of the tooth and soft tissue damage.
- Whitening Strips
Strips are made of thin & transparent, flexible plastic that has been covered with low-concentration bleaching agents.
How to use:-
Place the strips against your teeth, and they will release bleaching agents to help in lightening the tooth colour.
- Whitening Rinses
The Whitening Mouthwashes consist of very low concentrated hydrogen peroxide, which helps to remove surface stains from teeth along with refresh breathing and reducing dental plaque.
- Whitening Toothpaste
A toothpaste consists of mild abrasive agents which help to remove surface stains. Whitening toothpaste doesn't contain any bleaching agents. Whitening toothpaste contains some polishing and more abrasive agents which helps to remove stains from teeth.
Laser-Assisted Tooth Bleaching
In the laser-assisted teeth whitening technique, hydrogen peroxide and laser whitening gel is used, which contains a mix of heat absorption crystals.
The laser beam breaks up the gel's crystals and removes stains from the teeth.
Laser teeth whitening is far more effective and has fewer side effects. Traditional bleaching processes may have disadvantages.
HOW LONG WILL IT STAY:
It varies from person to person and depends upon the person's age, habits, and life style.
SIDE EFFECTS :
- The Most common side effect associated with teeth whitening is teeth sensitivity.
- Soft tissue damage. Ex: Gingival ulceration.
