WHAT CAN WE DO:
For Infants take a clean soft cloth with your index finger and wipe gums twice daily (morning & night). And do not forget to clean your infant tongue also.
By the age of 6-12 months the front tooth will start eruption, then start brushing the teeth using a small (finger sized tooth brush), soft bristled tooth brush and plain water on outer surface, inner surface of front teeth and remaining parts of the jaw where teeth not erupts and the tongue should be cleaned with a clean soft cloth twice daily.
By the age of 25-33 months the children will get probably all the teeth. From 2 years onward can use pea sized amount of fluoride tooth paste for cleaning the tooth on inner surface, outer surface ,and occlusal surface (chewing surfaces) by using a soft small bristled tooth brush using a gentle pressure against the teeth with 4-5 strokes on each tooth on morning and night before going to bed.
And do not forget to clean tongue with backside of your tooth brush or using tongue cleaner.
